The foundations for a person's self-confidence and resilience are laid in childhood. Even as adults, we continue to benefit from a childhood in which we were able to explore our potential in loving security and creative freedom.

Tradition & Quality
GRIMM'S is a family-run wood manufacturer that handcrafts high-quality, unique play materials and furniture. Our family business has been in existence since 1978 and produces lovingly handcrafted items to the highest quality standards exclusively in Europe.
Our many years of experience in the field of play materials for children enable us to look to the future with sound expertise and to always find a balance between traditional and modern.
Educationally valuable
Our play materials are certified as having educational value. Free play in a child-friendly environment allows children to develop particularly well and healthily. Using their own imagination to shape play and find creative solutions strengthens them for the future.
Maintaining rituals with friends and family gives children a sense of security and stability. Our play materials are inspired by alternative educational approaches such as Waldorf and Montessori, among others, but especially by children themselves.
Like our play materials, the furniture can support the Montessori-inspired educational approach of a child's room by allowing the child to move and play independently.
Many of our play materials have been awarded the “spiel gut” seal of quality for special toys.
Security & Trust
All our play materials and furniture are proven safe. All paints and oils used are non-toxic, saliva-resistant, and therefore completely harmless.
The wood surface remains open thanks to our special processing and treatment, which not only feels good but also allows the wood to unfold its superpower and, by binding moisture, simply provide no breeding ground for bacteria to survive.
The safety of our play materials and furniture is regularly verified through internal and external tests in accordance with European and US toy safety standards.
Naturalness & Sustainability
From the very beginning, our company has placed great value on sustainability and naturalness. Accordingly, we act responsibly toward people and the environment. Wood is renewable, robust, and repairable. We use wood from sustainable forestry and preserve the natural properties of this special material during processing.
By treating the wood surface with glazes instead of varnishes, we preserve its openness, creating the unique, velvety, rough GRIMM'S feel. This feel also positively influences the building experience, as the building elements don't slip off one another as easily, allowing even young children to celebrate successes from an early age.

We deliberately avoid surface sealing on our furniture to preserve the warmth and naturalness of the radiant, light birch wood. However, we are happy to offer recommendations for various possible surface finishes so that everyone can treat their furniture to suit their own lifestyle.
In addition to the product itself, the term sustainability also includes the packaging, which we always handle according to the motto: as much as necessary and as little as possible.
For us, sustainable also means that the materials are both long-lasting, which is due to their quality, and can be used in different ways as they age, so that they can also be used in the long term.
Design & System
The deliberately minimalist design serves both aesthetics and functionality. All of our play materials and furniture allow for imagination and fit into a well-thought-out system, allowing everything to be combined with everything else. This opens up countless combination possibilities for building and playing.

Diversity across ages
Our product range is age-inclusive and caters to every age group – which is why we largely avoid age recommendations. The individuality of each child makes it virtually impossible to make a general recommendation based on age. To make such a recommendation, you would need to know the child intimately. Since the children's closest caregivers are best placed to do this, we recommend considering the child and their interests rather than their age alone.
The play materials and furniture are designed to grow with the child, meaning the same product can be used in different ways depending on their age, skill level, and interests. This makes them durable, versatile, and a lasting companion for generations.
