Idea 1: Decorate a Celebration Ring with eggshells
Empty eggshells don't have to end up in the trash after baking or cooking – they are perfect for small Easter decorations in the Celebration Ring.
Carefully separate the tops of the eggs, use the contents for something delicious, and thoroughly clean the shells.

This could then be used to make, for example, a small vase for flowers .
Or fill the eggshell with some cotton wool and sprinkle it with cress seeds . After a few days and regular growth, you will be able to harvest your own cress.
Alternatively, eggshells are also perfect for making small candles . Simply melt some wax in a double boiler, insert a wick into the eggshell, and pour in the liquid wax. After it cools, you'll have a small, homemade Easter candle.
If desired, the eggshells can also be painted or decorated.
Idea 2: Use Building Rings as Easter decorations
Our colourful building rings can not only be used for playing, but can also be wonderfully integrated into Easter decorations.
They are suitable, for example, as small eggshell decorations on the table or as napkin rings or egg cups for Easter breakfast.
They also make pretty, splashes of colour on the Easter bush among the delicately flowering branches.
Idea 3: Crochet bunny ears for our Rainbow Friends
With some yarn and a crochet hook, you can make cute bunny ears for our Rainbow Friends.
Here is our step-by-step guide:
1. Crochet a starting chain to measure the head circumference (the chain can be undone afterwards). Measure very precisely and subtract one stitch – with a size 2 crochet hook, this was 15 chain stitches for us.
2. Crochet a starting chain with 4 chain stitches. Join the chains into a ring by crocheting a stitch into the first stitch of the starting chain.
3. Then crochet in a circle until the number of stitches counted in step 1 for the head circumference is reached.
4. If the hat is large enough, fold it flat and lay it down to find the position for the ears.
5. For each bunny ear, crochet 2 single crochet stitches from the hat – several rows until the ear is long enough. For the ear tip, crochet a triple crochet stitch into the second row and finish with a slip stitch.
6. Finally, sew the ends together – done!
Idea 4: Make paper bunny ears for Rainbow Friends
Alternatively, bunny ears can easily be made from paper. All you need is paper, scissors, a glue stick, a ruler, and pencils. Draw the ears as desired, using a kind of headband as a guide, and cut them out. Then, place the headband around the figure's head and secure it with a piece of tape. In no time at all, you'll have little Easter bunnies that are perfect for Easter decorations and playtime.
Idea 5: Recreate and play with the Bunny School
A whimsical play idea from our #GrimmsInvitationToRead series, designed to encourage reading and engaging with stories, is to recreate "A Day at Bunny School" from the children's book of the same name. Inspired by stories of busy Easter bunnies learning to paint eggs or identify plants, children can create their own play world using Rainbow Friends, building blocks, and loose parts. There, they can develop role-playing games, act out stories, or invent their own Easter adventures.

What we used: Rainbow Friends Pastel as bunnies, Pastel Mosaic for the desks, Building Rings Pastel for the chairs, Basic Building Set 1 for the teacher's desk, the Large Rainbow Pastel for the classroom and the Weather Building Set for the background.
Idea 6: Build a vase from building blocks
Using building blocks, for example from our staircase construction kit, you can create original vase surrounds. Simply arrange them around a vase as you like until you can no longer see the vase itself, and then place beautiful Easter branches or flowers inside. We used Building Set Stairway.
Idea 7: Play a magical Easter egg hunt
To celebrate the anticipation of Easter, you can even play an Easter egg hunt. Our Glitter Stones have something truly magical about them, and playfully hiding them and then finding them randomly is a lovely game that brings a smile to the face of every family member.
We hope there's something here for everyone to make Easter even more beautiful and perhaps to adopt one or two Easter traditions. And with that, we wish all little and big Easter bunnies a happy and creative Easter with family and friends.
