Classic all-rounder - our Large Rainbow

We have around 600 great products, yet there's one that stands out and is immediately associated with our brand: the large rainbow. Anyone who thinks you can only take it apart and then put it back together so it looks nice on the shelf is seriously underestimating it. Its versatility is hard to beat. If you know, you know ;) And for everyone else, there's plenty of inspiration: Here are 8 of the countless play ideas featuring our large rainbow.

1. Role play

Role-playing is a big thing for children. Interestingly, children completely immerse themselves in their roles with ease, whereas it's often a bit of an effort for adults to engage in such games. In these games, children reflect the life they experience around them and learn to empathize with others and grow from it. In this way, the little ones strengthen their social skills and benefit throughout their lives.

The large rainbow is a very versatile companion for role-playing. Its arches instantly transform into telephone receivers or doll cradles. Combined with the semicircles and a bit of decoration, it can also be used as a multi-tiered cake for imaginative birthday parties with stuffed animals.

2. Marble runs

For those who enjoy constructing and tinkering, the topic of marble runs is sure to be exciting. Adults often enjoy them too, and if you can't get Dad out of the nursery, it might be because of a new marble run project.

You don't have to be a marble run expert to build a fantastic marble run out of the large rainbow. The arches can easily be arranged to create colorful tracks that ensure long-lasting fun and can be varied again and again as needed. The clatter of the marbles on the wooden arches is simply so enjoyable to listen to that it's hard to stop.

3. Small game worlds

To immerse yourself in small play worlds, you don't need much except imagination. Since children have thematic interests depending on their age, they enjoy acting them out in their small play worlds. This also helps them get to know the world around them better and find their place in it. However, because interests change quickly and imagination needs a bit of space, play worlds that aren't predefined down to the last detail, which might seem a bit sporadic to parents, are perfectly adequate, because worlds are created in children's minds anyway, worlds that you don't even need to see to experience them.

The rainbow arches make popular beds for small toy dolls or water troughs for small animal figures. They're also perfect for fences, roads, bridges, and tunnels. And if you stack the arches with the semicircular building plates in between, you have a quick and versatile dollhouse, parking garage, princess castle, or anything else...

4. Stack & Build

Stacking and building begins very early in childhood and continues into adulthood. Experimenting with what works and what can be optimized. These are crucial learning processes that accompany us in one way or another throughout our lives.
The large rainbow offers ideal building material, tempting you to try new things again and again. The surface of its natural wood is velvety-rough, making it particularly easy to stick together. This way, even young construction beginners can experience success and gain confidence in themselves and their own work. The creative design possibilities are endless and can be combined with other play materials as needed, creating something new again and again. How about a completely sustainable rainbow Christmas tree for Christmas, for example?

5. Play of colors

We live in a wonderfully colorful world, and we celebrate this with our play materials. The splendor of nature's rainbow was, of course, the most beautiful inspiration. But the other color variations of our rainbow also have their own unique and beautiful appearance.

When it comes to learning about colors, color gradations, and color harmonies, the rainbow in all its hues is a valuable introduction to the discovery of aesthetics. Combined with its incomparable feel and natural shapes, it creates a comprehensive diversity that makes it a companion for all generations.

6. Play actively

Children need exercise, that much is clear. Of course, the fresh air is the best place to let off steam. But there are also great ways to turn excess energy into active play fun indoors. So, the rainbow should be able to do that too? Of course it can!

The rainbow's arches can simply be laid out on the floor in circles and then filled with different materials. This creates your own indoor barefoot path. It also works as a small sensory path: Simply blindfold your eyes with a cloth and then feel the materials with your hands. There are also numerous other ways to play with the rainbow using your whole body.

7. Layout pictures

Totally underrated, but incredibly funny, jigsaw puzzles can be. They're a bit like puzzles, only they're even more creative because the picture you put together isn't predetermined, but rather freely designed.

The rainbow, with its semicircular shapes, is ideal for this—especially in combination with other smaller materials. For example, large mandalas can be created using jigsaw puzzles on the floor. But they're also a great way to express and learn about feelings. The most amazing pictures emerge when you just let loose and play around.

8. In the children's room

Due to its special aesthetic, the rainbow is also a popular decorative item in children's rooms. In pictures you often see it neatly assembled on a shelf and looking beautiful. It does that really well. But there is a slight danger that this will actually lead to it being perceived as decoration and its incredible potential being completely overlooked. So our suggestion is: put the rainbow on the shelf every now and then to make it look nice, but from time to time bring it down to where your children can reach it and not display it as a rainbow, but rather place the individual arches disassembled in an accessible basket or randomly on the floor. If you do this, the children will see it not only as a perfectly assembled rainbow, but as building material, and only then can it really shine with all its potential.

You see: We're celebrating our great rainbow with great enthusiasm, and not only we, but also many people, big and small, out there in the world. Every day, it's touched, built on, played with, and thrown by children's hands, big and small. It inspires the imagination of so many growing people and accompanies and encourages them in everything they do and how they are.

We love everything about it!
